I agree with Scott in that it depends on the group. For me, if it is a group that I’m putting together, then I’ll waive the fee. If however it is an Egypt retreat (I’m a certified retreat specialist too), I’ll charge the organizer a lump sum planning fee, and an individual fee for organizing per participant. In this way, if after organizing retreat itinerary and they choose not to move forward or can not fill their retreat, my time is covered.
